Kentucky Horse Park
About Kentucky Horse Park
Everyone know's that Lexington is the Horse Capital of the world, so why not spend a day around these beautiful creatures with the family!
Kentucky Horse Park is a place where kids can really get up close with these amazing creatures, as well as learn all about the history of the relationship between horses and Kentucky.
The admission for your ticket includes admission into the very renowned International Museum of the Horse, which is an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution (Pretty impressive!) as well as the American Saddlebred Museum, as well as a Horse-Drawn Tour AND equine presentations across the entire day. What a bargain!
There are other shows across the day, which may be an additional charge, but you get to completely immerse yourself in the world of the horse, and learn what it really takes to breed a Thoroughbred!
Make a day of it! Bring a picnic, head to the concession stands, and just enjoy the atmosphere of the Kentucky Horse Park.
Want to hear some of the other activities you can do at the Kentucky Horse Park? Well, it's horses, so why not try some horseback trail rides and pony rides! From March to November you can enjoy a guided 40 minute trail ride, which are completely suitable for first-time riders. Ride along the outskirts of the park and maybe you'll find you have the beginnings of the makings of a champion!
Horseback riding is perfect for those kids over 7, and there are pony rides for those smaller kids between 2 and 12 who want to experience just as much adventure.
