About Kansas Field Station Dinosaurs

It's all about DINOSAURS at the Kansas Field Station: Dinosaurs, so are you ready for a prehistoric family day out?

Set against the beautiful natural backdrop of the rolling Kansas grasslands, Field Station: Dinosaurs is only minutes from Wichita, and offers a whole range of learning, adventure, exploration and fun!

The attraction features over 40 life sized, realistic dinosaurs (including the whopping 90ft Alamosaurus, which is one of the LARGEST animatronic dinosaurs ever made!), that all come to life thanks to some pretty awesome engineering of leading roboticists, and the creative imagination of their artists.

If that wasn't cool enough, Field Station: Dinosaurs also includes a geodesic dome ropes course to challenge and exhaust even the most active kids, AND a miniature golf course! Who's ready to get the hole in one?

The story of our prehistoric favorites is vividly presented across 14 acres of tall grasses, winding trails, shady trees and even an outdoor amphitheater. Sounds pretty cool to us!

Real scientists from the Bighorn Basin Paleontological Institute have actually worked with staff to ensure that the exhibits encompass the latest theories and discoveries in the fields of paleontology, geology and environmental studies.

Kids will love the workshops, games and activities that connect the story of the dinosaurs the the world we live in today, giving a new relevance to their lives, and power to the tale of their extinction!

So what are you waiting for kids? Are you ready to explore and discover some pretty amazing dinosaurs that once lived in and around Kansas? Let the digging commence!
