John Landes Skate Park
About John Landes Skate Park
The John Landes Skate Park is located at the north end of the John Landes Park and Recreation Center facility and is great for those active kids who want to try new skills, get active or learn something new!
Parents, keep in mind that this skate park is not staffed, but it is open during daylight hours only.
This isn't just your average playground, so the John Landes Skate Park is open to skateboarders only.
No scooters, roller blades, bikes or other equipment is allowed in the park. This is because the City of Oceanside wants to keep the park open, safe and in good condition.
Skaters must wear appropriate protective gear at all times. Riders who do not follow this rule may be asked to leave the park by recreation center staff.
Features at the John Landes Skate Park include a gently sloping bowl area with various “skateable” elements connected to a deeper swimming pool-like feature that will accommodate multiple riders.
It is designed that skaters can ride in many ways, to develop and refine their skills and to express themselves through the physical activity of skateboarding. Sounds pretty cool to us!
So why not grab those skateboards kids, and head out for a day in the sun showing off all those tricks!
