About Huntingdon Beach
Huntingdon Beach is famous for it's surfing championships and is a great beach to head to with the family. Watch the locals ride the waves, walk along the pier, and build sandcastles at a great family-friendly destination.
Located in Southern California between Los Angeles and San Diego, you'll find 10 miles of wide open sandy peaches, great for families! There's also kayaking on offer, cycling and of course the beach pier which sits in the heart of the beach and offering amazing views all around.
If you fancy trying your hand at some surfing, this is the ideal spot! You can take a lesson with a group or have a private lesson, just heading to the visitor information kiosk at the foot of the pier. Another fun way to hit the water as a group is by renting kayaks and paddling the calm waters of the Huntingdon Harbour.
If you fancy being on land, then explore the area on two weehels and rent out a bike and pedal the 10 mile paved beach path - a perfect route for a smooth bike ride! You can each gather around a warm fire on the beach and roast some marshmallows and watch the sunset.
Fancy skateboarding? There's a free skatepark which has ramps, rails stairs and more and welcomes skateboarders everyday.
