About Honolulu Museum of Art Spalding House

Spalding House is the second location of the Honolulu Museum of Art, and can continue your deep dive into the art world with galleries just lined with art, and an impressive sculpture-filled garden that overlook Diamond Head and Honolulu itself!

If you're going to explore art, why not have an amazing view too!

The art that you will experience at this impressive museum not only offers an insight into the minds of the artists, but also offers an exploration into various cultures of the world, and the fascinating history too - sometimes going back thousands of years

The Honolulu Museum of Art has around 50,000 objects in the collection, representing all major cultures right back from ancient times to today.

Throughout the permanent collections there are Japanese Woodblock Prints on display, as well as European antiquities and art from as early as the 17the century.

Of course, it's a great place to explore the Art of Hawai'i too.

It's not just paintings that are considered "art", so make time to check out the collections on textiles too, and don't miss David Hockney's L'Enfant et les sortileges part of the Museum's permanent collection, housed in the Cades Pavilion.

Also at the museum are changing exhibitions, that highlight specific artists or techniques, so you can always go back and see something new with your next visit

They also host the Spalding House Family Day that takes place on the third Sunday of the month!

It's worth noting that your admission gets you into the additional Honolulu Museum of Art location if you visit on the same day.
