About Hershey Gardens

If you LOVE nature, then you might just want to head to Hershey Gardens!

Set across 23 acres, Hershey Gardens today features 11 themed gardens, including a children's garden which is always fun for the little ones!  However the gardens weren't always so big - back when Hershey Gardens opened in 1937 the site was only a 3-1/2 acre rose garden. Today, it welcomes families to stroll through the beautiful flowers and landscapes to really see how beautiful nature can be!

When you arrive, you'll find yourself in the Welcome Pavilion which serves as the main entrance to Hershey Gardens. Here, you'll be greeted by a number of magnificent palm trees plus dozens of colorful stained glass butterflies that soar below a glass ceiling!

Another amazing experience at Hershey Gardens is the Butterfly Pavillion!

Here kids can walk among hundreds of butterflies from all over the world in a tropical setting featuring colorful plants and a soothing water feature!

In fact, this Butterfly Atrium is only one of 25 indoor, tropical butterfly atriums in the whole country!. It's always fun for kids to see a number of rare butterflies from South and Central America, Africa and Asia!

Then of course you have the Children's Garden! Kids can walk through the whimsical entrance and enter a world of enchantment!

Don't miss the Hershey’s Kisses-shaped misters that will greet you with a fine spray of water and meandering pathways guiding you through 32 themed gardens, taking all who visit on a journey of hands-on activity, discovery and fun!

With so much more to offer, a visit to Hershey Gardens is a fun way to explore nature!
