There is something amazing about getting the whole family together to enjoy the great outdoors, and what better way than to utilize some of the amazing trails West Virginia offer you!
The Pinnacle Creek Trail System is one of them!
This beautiful and adventurous trail is located near the town of Pineville, and consists of a HUGE 79.6 total miles of trail! Are you ready for the challenge! (Of course, you don't have to do the whole thing!)
The Pinnacle Creek Trail System offers a whole range of activities that you can enjoy as part of your trip across it. It's perfect for dirt bikes and quads, and even scrambler and buggies are allowed legallt with direct trail access on the connect that is located between the Indian River Trail and Pinnacle Creek.
There is also the Pocahontas Trail now too that you can check out!
The Pinnacle Creek Trail has one trailhead, along with a two acre parking area and restrooms (it's pretty popular!) When you get there you will see why - it's popular for it's incredible scenic views, and is just less than one hour from the white water rafting and snow skiing resort!
There are also not one, but TWO community connectors between Pineville and Mullens, so get a bit of small town USA into you at the same time! The trail is also great for different experience and fitness levels. There are easy green trails, the more difficult blue trails, some really difficult black trails and 5.1 miles of EXTREMELY difficult trails - so you can challenge yourself as much as you like!
It's a great way to see parts of the state you wouldn't have normally have seen otherwise, and it's a great way to get the family active. West Virginia adventure here we come!
