Well you can, because the Harry S Truman Little White House is a unique historical site that offers tours to take you around the property, exploring this rich history.
Not only did President Truman use this as a place to relax and restore his mind between 1946 and 1952 (at the time he was dealing with the threats of the Cold War!), but later Presidents also used the house too.
You can tour the house with knowledgable tour guides, to give you a glimpse into this "second" life the Presidents had whilst in office, but you also get to learn some of the politics of the cold car, as well as the Naval History of Key West!
Today, the Harry S Truman Little White House is still a living museum, and is actually used for government functions - it wasn't just a one off piece of American history, so just imagine the decisions that have been made in these walls!

Pre-field trip or post field trip readings might include topics discussed during the Little White House tour. The tours are structured to the grade level. The tour topics include use of the atomic bomb, de-segration of the federal workforce and the branches of the armed services, recognition of Israel, The Berlin Airlift, the Truman Doctrine that changed US foreign policy, the creation of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO); creation of Everglades National Park, the Korean War.
