Animals and education in the one family day out? We think we might be able to help! Green Meadows Petting Farm is a super sweet animal experience for the kids, as well as a great educational resource for them (but they won't even know they're learning!)
Kids of all ages will get the chance to not only cuddle up to the 200 very cute domestic farm animals which call the farm home, but they will also get the chance to participate in a number of hands-on experiences where they can learn.
Anyone of any age can interact with the animals - and the animals and always happy to have visitors! The pigs are normally thought of as messy and dirty, but did you know they were actually quite clean animals? They love rolling around in the mud to cool down, but did you know it also acts as a sunscreen to protect their skin from the sun? Who knew!
The goats are excited to meet you all, but don't worry, they don't really try and eat everything. But they might try to taste it! And love sheep? These sweet animals that you count to get to sleep, and kids can learn all about their wool, and even where the phrase "black sheep" came from!
From chickens, ducks and turkeys...even emus and horses...the Green Meadows Petting Farm is great for kids to interact with animals and to realize they have sweet personalities too!
Of course, we mentions fun activities - so let's tell you about them too! It's a great hands-on experience for kids to try milking a cow, or joining in with some fun hay rides. There are also seasonal pumpkin patches!

Remember it's important to keep washing and sanitising the kids' hands; it's worth taking your own spray for instant cleaning if your child still tends to put hands in their mouth.
