It will just like being in Africa - only in Florida! Giraffe Ranch is a beautiful wildlife center set on 47 acres of wonderful countryside, and they want to share it with you!

It isn't a zoo or a theme park - you won't see animals in cages.  Here, they are free to roam happily about in what would be similar to their natural habitat, so kids can encounter them and watch them and all their natural behaviors.

The area is not just animals - the ranch with its huge live oaks and native orchards, is also a wildlife preserve, and even 200 sandhill cranes roost on their grounds every night! 

The ranch offer two tours a day - 11am and 2pm, which are limited in size and by reservation only. These tours and fun and educational, and will take your family out on an intimate safari expedition which will be led by experience driver-guides in 4WD safari vehicles! Just like out on the plains in Africa!

Each vehicle has shade canopies, so don't worry about being out in the sun in the middle of the day.  During the tour you will learn about the native and exotic animals, and their habitats as well as witnessing the ongoing conservation efforts with endangered species (some that are even extinct in the wild!)

The safaris give kids close, hands-on experiences! Ever wanted to feed a giraffe, or pet a camel? Here is your chance! You might also be able to ride the camel - pretty exciting!

You can (safely!) get right up to a rhino, and even a sweet pygmy hippo.  What do they look like up close? Are they what you imagined?

They have a working herd of Austrian Haflinger horses, and tiny irish Dexter cattle - with one of the largest herds of these sweet little cattle in the whole of Florida! 

The animals are waiting for you to say hi and feed them!
