It's ALL about animal fun and then some at Forney's Gentle Zoo!  

Why don't we start at the petting zoo - after all, we know you love animals (so do we!). While some zoos feature exotic animals from ALL the continents of the world, Gentle Zoo focus on those we know and love more closely - the domestic ones with the odd special species for good luck!

Did you know that many of the animals at Gentle Zoo have been rescued and adopted from sanctuaries and private homes? What's beautiful about Gentle Zoo is that the animals arrive with sad stories, but then soon relax into their new home, and couldn't be happier! If some of the animals are injured, the Gentle Zoo rehabilitate them and make them all better.

So not only do kids get to understand and learn all about the animals themselves, they learn the invaluable lessons as to why we need to care for the creatures of the planet!

Kids can come face to face with adorable farm animals and admire exotics from a small distance!

In addition to the petting zoo they have a fun kids playground, picnic area, indoor party room to celebrate those birthdays, an exciting train ride, and SO much more!

If THAT wasn't enough, Gentle Zoo also offer seasonal events like the Pumpkin Patch activities and Easter Egg Hunts.
