Are you ready to get snap happy? And we don't just mean with your cameras! Formerly known as Bayou Pierre Alligator Park, Gator Country Louisiana is where the whole family can experience the mysterious, unique and exciting world of that amazing creature - the American Alligator!
In fact, Gator Country is the largest alligator park in the state, housing over 250 American Alligators! How amaing! The seven-acre park is where not only you can come face to face with those snappy alligators, but the day comes complete with Cajun music, has a petting zoo, reptile house, jungle, as well as a tortoise exhibit, a super fun baby gator wading pool, feeding show, and more! Ask about the boat and side-by-side tours too!
There are HUNDREDS of alligators at Gator Country Louisiana, and kids will love seeing them all rush for the food at the hourly feeding shows. From protected walkways, the whole family can see a range of sized alligators - from 4 footers to amazing 1000lb creatures all splashing, swirling, leaping and lunging in the water!
You don't just have to sit back and watch though - nope! You can feed them yourselves! You can even touch them - be brave!
The Alligator Island Show is a lively and informative demo all about the alligator farming industry, and explains to kids about the alligator conservation program to save the beautiful American Alligators.
Want a break from the alligators? No problem! There's an air-conditioned games room where you can play air hockey, or give "The Claw" a try, before heading around the corner to the Reptile Habitat where you can find all those scaly critters you want! From lizards, skins, iguanas, water dragons, and crocodiles - could you imagine ever seeing any other these in the wild?!
A Tiny Town at an alligator park? You better believe it! With a town built at half the scale, with a store, schoolhouse, barber shop and office...it's always popular with kids to try and spot the cute pygmy goats!

I’m Hungry! Can I get food at Gator Country Louisiana?
You certainly won't go hungry (like the gators!) - there are plenty of places to get food, including alligator sausage, kabobs and bites, chicken tenders, french fries, corn dogs, meat pies, soft drinks and ice cream
Any top tips when visiting?
The shows start at 11:30am and run through to 3:30pm. Make sure you check what's on when you first arrive so you can plan your day around them!
Does Gator Country Louisiana have a gift shop?
Save up those pennies, there IS a gift shop! Toys, novelties, t-shirts, coffee mugs, wind chimes, ceramics just to name a few of the fun things you can pick up!
