Did you know that the Delaware River has been a working river for a very long time, and if you want a great view of it in action, PLUS a great day out with the family, Fox Point State Park could be for you!
Although each of the parks in the Delaware State Park system has its own unique features, Fox Point State Park deserves something more than "unique" in its description because of this reason!
Fox Point State Park is where the whole family can enjoy that classic park day out, where you can take it easy strolling or enjoying a picnic, or just enjoying the sights of the river at work!
For those active kids, there is a host of fun to be had enjoying horseshoe pits, a volleyball court, and even a play area for those little ones!
In addition, this fun Delaware park features interpretive displays describing the functions of the various watercraft plying the river, so it's a learning experience for the kids too! (That's what we love to hear!)
The park also is a base for the ninety mine long Coastal Heritage Greenway that stretches all the way to Cape Henlopen State Park
So why not get out there and enjoy the Delaware fresh air and have that family day out park style!
