Flint RiverQuarium
About Flint RiverQuarium
You've heard of an aquarium where you enjoy all the incredible creatures from the ocean? Well, have you heard of a RiverQuarium? Neither had we, until we found this place!
Flint RiverQuarium is an unusual and unique, but pretty cool. attraction which was designed after a flood devastated the area. It was created to look at the geologic, ecologic and hydrologic conditions of the area, and allow visitors and most importantly kids, to understand the importance of the worlds natural resources and why they should be looked after.
And there are really cool and interesting creatures to explore!
There is a 175,000 gallon Blue Spring Hole which showcases Georgia's very incredible underworld. There are over 120 kinds of fish, turtles, and alligators that call the river their home!
The Flint River Gallery features both fresh and salt water tanks to give you a look at all the life that you will find in the rivers path.
The very sweet hatchery is constantly changing exhibits so you can see something new each time. Ever seen fish grow from an egg to full size? A fascinating look at life!
If you fancy getting a bit hands on with games then there are Discovery Caverns which allow you to explore underground caves with subterranean creatures, all at the push of a button.
What's that!? Oh, you made us jump - it's just the alligators! Spring Run Creek leaves only a sheet of (very safe!) glass between you and these beautiful creatures.
There is always something going on the RiverQuarium - from feeding times, shows, to even river canoe trips for those over 10, summer camps and sleep overs with your friends!
It's so much more than an Aquarium!

Field trips are a big part of the RiverQuariums aim to pass on the beauty of nature to kids. They also host summer camps and day camps. It would be a shame not to include very cute snapping turtles and snakes into your school year!
