Since 1990, over 1 million visitors have come to enjoy this fun and educational experience - that's a lot of fun that's been had!
The Explorium of Lexington is a great way to inspire imagination and creativity within children of all ages. From their toddler area designed specific for children 3 and under, to their stimulating hands-on exhibits and opportunities to fit into the role of a lawyer, veterinarian, pilot, or archaeologist, the Explorium provides ample opportunity to feed the imagination.
They hold summer and school out camps, from 9am-4pm on days when Fayette County Public Schools is out, as well as offer discounted rates and enrichment activities for field trips and group visits throughout the school year.
The Explorium also provides several birthday party packages for groups of 15-30, including admission for the day for all guests, a private party room for 90-120 minutes, and "Mad Scientist" activities involving erupting Coke and Mento geysers!

I’m Hungry! Can I get food at Explorium Of Lexington?
Unfortunately the Emporium doesn't have anywhere to stop those rumbles within the building, but the good news is they are located very close to a range of yummy alternatives so it's always a great idea to grab some food before or after your visit.
Does Explorium Of Lexington have a gift shop?
In addition to some fun Emporium souvenirs you can purchase, the Emporium Gift Shop sells a range of fun and exciting gifts that relate to the exhibits so if something really catches your eye as you walk around, be sure to look for a keep sake in the gift shop!
Teachers corner
Emporium offer specialized programs for field trips for students from Pre-K right through to 7th grade. Scheduled visits receive a discounted price, and all the exhibits ensure they meet the Kentucky school curriculum standards to ensure it is a great option outside of the classroom.
Is Explorium Of Lexington fully accessible?
There are ramps that service all areas of the museum so those with wheelchairs won't have any issues at all.
