Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum
About Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum
There are many reasons to visit the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum, but only one that really stands out: The Spruce Goose! The Spruce Goose is the world's largest wood airplane, folly or masterpiece (or both) of crazed billionaire Howard Hughes. Every museum wants at least one exhibit worthy of a postcard, and the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum has the biggest one of all, and YOU are invited to see it!
But of course, the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum is also home to a host of other impressive aircraft and artifacts.
Kids can immerse themselves in the history, rich stories and beautiful artifacts from World War II with a number of WWII aircraft.
Also at the museum is one of the world's FASTeST aircraft, the SR-71 Blackbird, that tested speeds of up to 2,000 miles per hour!
Don't miss a peek at the Titan II Missle, the large booster rocket from inside it's missile silo, then you can experience the excitement of a simulated launch sequence from the launch room!
Let's not forget about the Wright Brothers 1903 replica!
The staff at the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum can offer up a 3 hour itinerary if you have limited time, or they can recommend a full days worth of museum fun!
Of course, visiting with kids, they can create an itinerary that's fun for the whole family too!
A fascinating day out surrounded by incredible and iconic aviation history, so why not fly into a trip to the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum on your next family day out!
