Evans Plunge
About Evans Plunge
If we asked you, what do you think is the OLDEST tourist attraction in the Black Hills was, would you guess it was a water park? If you did - you'd be correct!
Evans Plunge was established in 1890, which means there have been a LOT of happy families making a splash since they started!
What is different about Evans Plunge, is that it uses natural spring-fed mountain water, giving the water an average temperature of 87F. Around 5,000 gallons of water flows every minute from a thermal spring at the north end of the pool - how amazing is that!?
Not only is there a pool to splash around in, but there are a number of water attractions to entertain the whole family! If you love slides, you're in luck, because Evans Plunge has a number of them! From the jet slide, to the whale slide, and even the kids frog slide for those little ones - you'll be sliding the day away!
Lap swimming is available for those who want to practice those strokes, and kids can have a great time using up all that energy with games such as water basketball and water volleyball. If you have little kids in the family, then they will love the two kids pools which are perfect for them to spend time away from the bigger kids.
With Tarzan Rings, 2 hot tubs, a sauna, steam room and gym, Evans Plunge certainly is not only the oldest, but one of the best!
Relax, splash AND rejuvinate in this South Dakota water park!
