Kids can learn all about how the Empire State Building began life intended to be the world's first 100+ story building. With construction beginning 1930, the project only took a short amount to time to complete! Can you guess how long? One of the many things you'll learn during your exploration of the Empire State Building!
During your time in the iconic Empire State Building, the whole family can also explore the two observation decks, each offering stunning and unique views of the Manhattan skyline - and beyond! In fact, your view will stretch across six states if you look closely!
The main deck on the 86th floor is the most famous, and also open-air. Then, travel up to the 102nd floor, with views stretching up to 80 miles on a clear day!
Also in the Empire State Building are a host of exhibits where you can continue your learnings on the history of the city, and the building.

Elevators are available for visitors with baby strollers. Strollers must be folded on observation decks.
I’m Hungry! Can I get food at Empire State Building?
There is a starbucks in the building, plus a number of restaurants including a Mexican restaurant, State Grill & Bar, and juice press!
Any top tips when visiting?
Peak visiting times vary by season. They tend to be busiest during the first two hours of the operating day and the hour directly after sunset.
Does Empire State Building have a gift shop?
It does! You'll find a fantastic range of Empire State Building memorabilia on the 80th Floor Gift Shop, most of which is exclusive to their shop - how cool!
Teachers corner
They offer preferred pricing for groups of 20 guests or more. All visits include entry to both their immersive exhibits and our main observation deck on the 86th floor.
