Elmer Thomas Park Disc Golf
About Elmer Thomas Park Disc Golf
Golf with flying discs instead of golf balls....WHAT!? We know... but it's true!
Disc golf is a crazy fun and new way to play golf but with a whole new spin on it....literally!
The idea of the game is the same: you have to complete each hole in as few go’s as possible. Sound easy? You also have to do it with a flying golf disc instead of a run of the mill golf ball!
Each disc has different characteristics so you need to know which disc to use if you want to hook, curve or just go straight, fly over the trees or roll on the groun. Kind of like knowing the difference between the putters. It actually takes quite a skill to master!
The courses are beautifully landscaped with trees and pristine holes. For those wanting a shorter course, the Alternate Red Tree is ideal as there are 10 holes under 300 feet, so a great way to challenge yourself in accuracy.
Most of the holes in the course are par 3, so the bigger kids will find them quite easy to get the hang of, and the little golfers can just enjoy some fun throwing time! It's a great way for kids to learn concentration, coordination, and the idea of beating their personal best by comparing what happened on the last hole and seeing how they can improve.
Get that golfing attire on and get busy throwing! (Never though we would write that!)
