About Edisto Island Serpentarium

It's all about those beautiful reptiles at the Edisto Island Serpentarium in South Carolina!

In fact, it's the first true serpentarium in the state!

It's here that reptiles can be recognised, preserved and studies, so kids can learn about these amazing creatures from all around the world!

With indoor and outdoor facilities, the Edisto Island Serpentarium really gives families a great, in-depth look at these mis-understood species. Kids can see snappy alligators and adorable turtles swim and play in the large outdoor ponds. These can be found in their beautiful outdoor gardens.

You might even see some other reptiles bask in the large indoor solarium!

Also inside, there are plenty of snakes from all over the world to be admired up close, with many of them representing the most important species of reptiles in the Americas. See how great the wildlife of the USA is!

Of course, if kids have any questions (and we know they will!), there are always friendly staff on duty ready to answer them.

It's a great way for the family to be educated on these beautiful creatures. The more you understand them, the less fearful you need to be! A great learning experience for all.

So why not scale on down to the Edisto Island Serpentarium for your next family day out, and come face to face with some pretty amazing creatures!
