If you want to really explore the beauty of Eastern Nevada, look no further than Echo Canyon State Park! This popular Nevada state park offers year round fun, centered around a 65-acre reservoir that offers a host of family fun activities for all ages!

The park is popular for camping, fishing, hiking and enjoying the beautiful scenery of the area. You might want to just sit on the banks and try your luck catching some fish, as the lake is filled with rainbow trout, largemouth bass, crappie and the occasional German brown trout.

Those active kids might want to slide on those hiking boots and hitting the nature trails, you can just enjoy it at your own pace.

Kids, keep those eyes peeled as you might just spot some of the abundant wildlife that will be all around you, including coyotes, deer and the occasional bobcat!  Don't forget to look up because you might just spot songbirds, hawks, owls, vultures, and even eagles.

The park is also home to a variety of native plants as well as unique rock formations which are always fun to explore. 

Any families who want to actually get OUT onto the lake, there is a boat launch for your use

In addition, Echo Canyon State Park features a campground, which is perfect for those families who want to extend their stay within the park. 

The park's elevation is 5,200' and although it is open year-round, visitors should be aware of occasional snow during winter months. 

Echo Canyon State Park is one of five state parks located in Lincoln County, and is where your Nevada adventure can begin!

I’m Hungry! Can I get food at Echo Canyon State Park?

There are picnic spots so why not pack a picnic lunch and enjoy it under the Nevada sun! Picnic tables and barbecue grills are located at six sites along the reservoir’s shore.

Any top tips when visiting?

The park is high elevation so it can get cooler in the evenings, pack accordingly
