In the heart of the Midwest, a national treasure awaits discovery. Cosmosphere: International Sci-Ed Center & Space Museum is a world-renowned, Smithsonian-Affiliated museum that allows kids and families to experience the thrill of space exploration - without leaving Kansas!

Want to hear something really cool about Cosmosphere? It's one of only three museums in the WORLD to display flown spacecraft from all three early-manned space programs. How cool is that!

You can come face to face with the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo. Just imagine the stories they could tell!

Make sure you stop by the Hall of Space Museum where the actual Apollo 13 command module Odyssey, the Gemini X spacecraft and the Liberty Bell 7 Mercury spacecraft can be found. It's an out of this world experience!

Want to hear something else very cool? The Cosmosphere is the only museum in the WORLD to display a flown unmanned Russian Vostok AND a full-scale engineering model of the manned Voskhod. The Cosmosphere also boasts one of the largest displays of space suits in the world.

Phew!

Besides the extensive artifact collection, the Cosmosphere is also home to the Carey IMAX Dome Theater, Justice Planetarium, and Dr. Goddard's Lab where kids can experience an explosively fun, rocketry demonstration where they can have a BLAST!
