Columbus Zoo and Aquarium
About Columbus Zoo and Aquarium
Have you ever wanted to see a polar bear up close? Here it can swim above your head!
At the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium you can not only encounter over 675 species of animals from around the globe, but you can visit the many exhibitions and rides, and even search for a dinosaur! (If you find him, say hi from us!)
The variety of animals to experience is vast - iconic bald eagles, the endangered black rhino, the mischievous sun bear...the list is extensive but allows children to really understand the variety of beautiful creatures we have in this world - what makes them special and why we need to look after them, for both their future and ours.
On the west side of the zoo you can experience an authentic 1914 carousel complete with 52 original horses, or take a relaxing journey on the Bob Evans Express Train.
There are also very special experiences for your whole family, included twilight tours where you see a whole new range of cheeky animals, the Animal Encounters Village where you can see animals such as cheetahs and kangaroos up close on stage (you could even pat a snake!) and great for toddlers is the Little Explorers Base Camp where these little rangers can learn about the animals, and engage and explore through play.
Great family fun at Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, with creatures of the world ready to say hello!
