If you want a special place designed just for kids and families to experience the joy of learning about themselves and the world around them, then it might be time to explore the Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert!
All of the hands-on exhibits within this children's museum inspire personal growth, and curiosity, through their exploration, and with over 80 exhibits across three galleries, kids of all ages really can have an amazing learning experience through play!
The Annenberg Gallery is the museum's largest exhibit space, with Toddlertown, MakerSpace and Buster Road, just to name a few!
At Dinah Shore exhibit, kids can build their own race car, and discover sciences like wind, their own bodies, and more!
The Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert also has some super fun outdoor exhibits where kids can check out some friendly creatures including turtles, hit the trike track, make some music in the Music Garden or discover a variety of plants in their Discovery Garden (and kids, check out the edible plants too!)
It's worth checking out the toddler programs just for those smallest of visitors where they can build their social, emotional and development skills, and they also have super fun events, like Family Dance Nights, Butterfly Release and seasonal fun with Santa, so check out the website for those!

Any top tips when visiting?
Toddler programs take place from 9:15am - 10am before the Museum opens to the general public and are led by a certified and experienced Early Childhood Educator.
Teachers corner
The Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert provides an exciting opportunity for educators to give hands-on participatory experiences for students. School Tours allow students to learn through play and are available September to mid-June, with reservations, and are open to any organized group of ten or more including preschools, public and private schools.
Your School Tour begins with a brief orientation for students, chaperones, and teachers. Each visit includes a hands-on lesson and Museum exploration. Go and take an adventure with them!
