Chesapeake City Park is a great escape into nature within the vibrant city of Chesapeake, Virginia. Here, there is a whopping 90 acres to explore! 60 of those acres are open space, filled with grass to run around, as well as fun activities for all.

The remaining 30 acres of beautiful reforested pine trees, where you can play hide and seek, spot wildlife, and just get among nature!

The open space has great adventures to be had. There are dog parks if you have those furry family members with you, and picnic shelters are great spots to enjoy those family packed lunches that you can enjoy under the sun!

The Fun Forest Playground is the ultimate children's playground for those active kids too! Open from 9:30am, there are three-way underground phones, tunnel slides to explore, a shaky bridge to conquer, and lots of challenges for those older kids too!

Many of the attractions within the playground are accessible too, with slides, paved paths, swings and benches all there to accommodate!

Those active kids will love the skate park, found at Chesapeake City Park. There is a spine ramp, three-quarter pipe and hip ramp. There is even a street area with smaller ramps, as well as boxed platforms. Who is ready to show off those new tricks!?
