About Chelsea Piers
Kids can’t decide between hockey or volleyball? Dad wants golf but Mum wants ice-skating? Then Chelsea Piers is one of those magical places that can solve all of your problems. Situated between Pier 61 and 62 is Field House - 80,000 sq feet of sporting facilities that will keep the entire family entertained for the day and so much variety it will make Ben & Jerry’s seem like they only offer vanilla.
Within the Field House itself is a 23,000 sq foot gymnastics training centre for the older children and a special toddler gymnastics area for those smaller future Olympians, two basketball courts, four batting cages, dance studios, field hockey, lacrosse, a 25ft climbing wall, artificial playing fields...we’re exhausted just writing about it!
There are Little Athletics for those aged 1 - 5, and sporting classes perfect for those 5 - 17 years.
If the kids can’t get enough on a weekend Field House even offer a variety of camps that allow caring and expert instructors to really allow them to learn and really shine.
For the parents, there are adult activities such as rock climbing and batting cages to ensure you can get as involved as the children.
The Golf Club at Chelsea Piers has programs for both adults and children, including an after school program, family program and Saturday program. Here all levels - from beginner to elite - can enjoy a fully automated tee-up system within 4 tiers of heated and weather-protected hitting stalls. There are even simulators for those whose dream it is to play at Pebble Beach. Come on Dad you know that’s you!
To top it off, Pier 61 is home to two ice skating rinks, a 6,000 sq ft sun deck and bowling. What more could you want?!
