This Iowa art museum exhibits a permanent collection of American art, as well as features temporary exhibitions of art, so there is always something to go back to on your next visit!
The exhibits not only feature painting, but a host of other genres of art including ceramics, sculpture, glass, textiles, prints and drawings!
In addition, they also offer art classes for all ages if those little ones are inspired by what they are seeing, and want to produce their own masterpiece, and there are also enriching art programs too.
If THAT wasn't enough, the Charles H MacNider Art Museum also run a Kids' Club - an activity-based exploration of the visual arts and the treasures of the museum geared towards children ages 5 through 12!

Have a birthday party at the museum! They have ART BUGS birthdays for ages 2 to 4, and then other birthday parties for the over 5s,
Does Charles H MacNider Art Museum have a gift shop?
There is a museum shop where you can pick up artwork from selected professional area and regional artists. The Shop also carries a variety of Frank Lloyd Wright inspired items, stationery, permanent collection postcards, T-shirts, and Bil Baird items.

They offer art classes, tours, kids club, and so many other ways for kids to learn and explore art - give them a call to arrange!
Is Charles H MacNider Art Museum fully accessible?
The MacNider Art Museum has a centrally located elevator with access to all three exhibition levels. Please ask at the front desk if you need directions into a particular gallery.
The Museum also has a wheelchair available for use within the building. Inquire at the front desk if you would like to use it during your visit.

There is an Imagination Playground where kids can play between the art fun!
