At Carolina Sunshine Alpaca Farm, we're on a mission to bring just a little more joy and light into the world through happy alpaca encounters and warm alpaca products! We are excited to welcome you onto the farm for visiting, learning, fun, and shopping! Come spend time with our beautiful, peaceful animals! You can book your tickets in advance on our website or purchase PacaVisit Walk-In tickets when you arrive at the farm.
On our PacaVisits, you can take a break from your busy life and relax with our beautiful alpacas on this unguided visit of our farm. Stay an hour, or two, or three. Walk the lanes at your own pace, watch the animals, and experience the peace of the farm. Bring your camera, binoculars, sketchbook, knitting, camp chair, snack, etc. Just hang out and enjoy. We have yard games, coloring pages, sidewalk chalk, and a bubble machine for kids of all ages to enjoy.
During our PacaTours, you can make a special memory for you and your family or friends on your own private guided tour. You’ll get to come close-up to the alpacas and offer them a special treat with the opportunity that they will allow you to touch their soft, fuzzy necks; and of course, there will be plenty of photo opportunities. Walk the farm and learn about the alpacas, their care, and what we do with their thick fleeces. Along the way you’ll also get to meet and learn about our livestock guardian dogs, goats, and barn cats.

Doing our bit
One of the great things you'll learn about alpacas is that they naturally have a very low environmental footprint. Just ask the staff while you're on the farm.
Do they have baby facilities?
We do not at this time have a changing area inside our restroom. We can provide a private space to do so, if needed.
I’m Hungry! Can I get food at Carolina Sunshine Alpaca Farm?
We have a few drinks and prepackaged ice cream available in the shop. If you book a PacaVisit or add one to your PacaTour, you will have access to our picnic area, where you are welcome to bring a lunch or snack.
Any top tips when visiting?
We always suggest wearing sturdy shoes because we have gravel pathways and uneven ground.
Does Carolina Sunshine Alpaca Farm have a gift shop?
We have a wonderful store filled with alpaca products for all ages and price ranges. We make as much as we possibly can to sell. We also consign for 6 other NC alpaca farms and 3 local artisans that make alpaca products. Lastly, we offer some Peruvian made alpaca products.
Teachers corner
We have informative signs and banners throughout the farm that educate our guests about alpacas. You can move through the farm, reading at your own pace, and we have staff available to answer questions. If you choose the PacaTour option, your staff guide will cover not only the information on the signs, but added information and stories about the alpacas and the farm in general.

Is Carolina Sunshine Alpaca Farm fully accessible?
We are still working on our ADA access thorughout the farm so please know that we have doorways with ledges, loose gravel pathways, uneven ground, and possible noise congestion from fans in the summer.
We do not allow any service animals or family pets on the property because we have livestock guardian dogs on the farm to protect the animals. They do not understand the difference between your animal and an intruding animal that creates a potential risk. We are very sorry, but we must be strict on this policy.
