About Cape Cod Museum of Natural History

How exciting to spend a day discovering and learning all about the beautiful and unique wildlife and natural environment of Cape Cod? Well, if you visit the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History, you can do just that!

Although a small museum, there are plenty of things to discover and learn as a family - including exploring the aquarium! The museum preserves, exhibits and interprets their own collection of natural history artifacts, as well as displays artifacts on loan and via traveling exhibits - so there is always something new and exciting to discover!

There are two floors of exhibits at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History, all about the flora and fauna of Cape Cod. You'll find an Archeology exhibit that explores 10,000 years of regional history, showing how the landscape has changed geologically, and how humans have evolved.

You'll find an exhibition on Honey Bees, complete with three full-sized field hives so you can observe the workings of a real bee hive!

Also at this Cape Cod museum are exhibits documenting the wildlife that live in the Cape Cod region, with a number of taxidermy models of wildlife so kids can really get up close to them!

There are even several displays are interactive and geared to children, so it really is a family experience!

They are also a nature education center, meaning kids and adults alike can participate in high quality programs, workshops, interactive exhibits, classes and more that reveal many facets of the natural world.

The wonders of the natural world and the beauty of the Cape Cod region are all celebrated at this family friendly museum, so c'mon kids - Mother Nature is calling!
