About Caldwell Zoo

It's time to have a WILD family day out across 85 beautiful acres in Tyler, Texas - and we mean Caldwell Zoo!

Caldwell Zoo is home to more than 3,400 animals that will amaze and educate your whole family. No matter what age! During this animal-tastic experience, you’ll discover creatures roaming over plains, swimming in ponds or climbing trees - all in multi-species environments that were carefully created to represent their natural habitats from all over the world, including North American, South American and East African.

That also means kids can see creatures living how they were meant to live!

A visit to South America mean you can say hi to the world's LARGEST rodent, see giant anteaters up close, marvel at the colorful macaws or see those playful squirrel monkeys!

Closer to home, did you know North America had so many amazing species, including free-roaming white-tailed deer, wild turkeys and bison?

It's time to head to the plains of Africa next! Here, you can see 3 acres of re-created African savanna, where those grand lions roam, the adorable zebras feed, and those tall giraffes seem much more impressive in person!

Let's not forget about those birds, with over 600 parakeets and cockatiels, the aviary is always alive with these colorful creatures!

With reptiles too, it's no wonder those Texas folk love to visit Caldwell Zoo, where it's all about amazing experiences with amazing creatures!

Let's get WILD!
