About Burlington Old Town Museum
Burlington Old Town Museum has six and a half acres of history to discover! Nestled in the heart of Colorado's central plains, there are 21 fully restored buildings with authentic artifacts and history to explore.
The museum celebrates local agricultural history and heritage with special interactive exhibitions so children can learn first-hand about pioneer life in the area. The museum is open all year round and have special events throughout the year too, so make sure to check out what's happening on their website. There's also an emporium full of the latest gifts!
The collection includes more than 20,000 objects, photos and more and dates from the 1880s through to the 1940s. You'll see lots of historic buildings including the barn, the depot school house, church and much more which all tell a story!
In the Summer you can see their World Famous Gunfighters and Can Can shows every Saturday at High Noon. Fist fights and gunfire is what you would have witnessed in towns across the US at the turn of the century! They also hold wild west dinner theatre where you'll get a meal and show.
The museum gives a fascinating insight into what life was like and you can really immerse yourself in the history!
