Brooksvale Park
About Brooksvale Park
It’s all about that classic park fun at Brooksvale Park in Connecticut! The entire family can enjoy of all sorts of outdoor adventures in this popular 500 acre park. Did you know that you can even learn about history during your family day out in the park? Well, back in the 1800s, the land was actually used as a working farm owned by the Brooks family (hence the name!)
Today, you can enjoy a fun park filled day of activities, perfect for all ages!
Kids can enjoy the fun playground & swings, which often keeps them entertained for hours! For the more active kids, grab those walking boots because nature calls.
Those sports loving kids will enjoy the Softball Fields, and you can even top off your day visiting an animal Barnyard!
The staff at Brooksvale Park are passionate about keeping a farm feel, so they are focused on agriculture, education and animal husbandry. This is why the animals’ natural habitats are replicated at the Barnyard, instead of in the petting zoo set up that you might be used to.
The Organic Garden within the park is over half an acre, and is a great way to just stroll through the vegetable beds and flowers. You can just imagine what it was like in the 1850s when Enos Brooks owned the farm and gardens!
The pond is also a fun place to hand out, with some fun wildlife there, and over the year the park hosts some fun activities and events, including the famous Fall Festival and wreath making!
So much more than your average community park, Brooksvale is waiting for families just like you, so what are you waiting for?
