If you want a family friendly RV Park with so much more than just full hook up sites, then you might want to check out Bighorn Park!

Located on the beautiful Arkansas River in Colorado, Bighorn Park is an RV Park where you can enjoy shaded RV park sites, as well as pull through sites and electricity and water on each site. Not only that, if you don't have an RV - don't worry! They have cabins, motel rooms, and bunkhouses, as well as tent sites too!

The real log cabins each have 2 bedrooms and are great for the family, or perhaps you might like the real log cabin motel rooms! The bunkhouses are perfect for a maximum of 4 people, and for those who like to rough it a little more, or you can try the classic way of camping - and take a tent!

They have 3 tent sites that border the Arkansas River, so get in quick! If you love fly fishing, or rafting and kayaking - the sites are just for you. You can rent fire rings and watch the stars out with the sounds of nature!

Bighorn Park have both on-site and nearby activities too, so those kids will be entertained for your whole visit!

On-site you can enjoy the swimming pool or playground, or take out inflatables on the river. There are sports like volleyball to keep those active kids exhausted too!

You can visit a nearby company and enjoy tours on the Arkansas River, from white-water rafting to mild float tours, or you can enjoy sunset trail rides in the mountains on horseback! There are hot springs in Salida, or you can get out into nature with mountain biking, hiking and climbing too!

The nearby winter time sports include skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling

Phew - we're exhausted just thinking about it!

What is there to do?

Nearby there are hot springs, white water and more sedate rafting, mountain horse riding, guided fishing tours and Sand Dunes National park! Great outdoors nearby for exploring and adventure

I’m Hungry! Can I get food at Bighorn Park?

You are 25 minutes from Salida where there are plenty of great restaurants!

Any top tips when visiting?

Check in is from 1pm-9pm, no check in after 9pm unless pre-arranged. Check out is noon (12pm).

How are the facilities at the attraction?

They have a pool, horseshoes and volleyball games. There is a kids playground too! The RV sites have picnic tables, and there are cabins, motel rooms, bunkhouses and 3 tent sites too.

Is Bighorn Park fully accessible?
