Bear Branch Nature Center can be found within the Hashawha Environmental Center, which is a 320 acres park filled with activities and exploring - perfect for the family day out!

There are 5 miles of multi-use trails to explore, so make sure you bring those walking shoes, as well as news, orchards, and a host of wildlife to look out for!

Did you know there is also history in the area? The Martin Cabin Homestead was built in the early 1800s, and is a fascinating glimpse into pre-Civil War era life.

Today, the cabin is great for kids to learn about the lifestyles of the past, and they also offer programs about mid-19th century life too!

Lake Hashawha is right in the park too, and this small, restored wetland area is right at the beginning of the Steam Trail (there's a steam train!)

It's the perfect spot to spend some time fishing, and spot that local wildlife.

Then, of course, you have the Bear Branch Nature Center. This is a great facility with a planetarium, as well as informative exhibits perfect to stop by and enjoy.
