Suitable for the older kids, the BMA offers FREE entry to it's numerous galleries, so everyone really can enjoy the wonders of the art world!
As you walk around the collections, you could be passing 19th century sculptures, or modern paintings, or enjoying the largest collection of Henri Matisse in the entire WORLD! Pretty amazing!
Kids can come face to face with art from all over the world, from Africa, to Asia, and Europe, and even Native American.
If you have lots of questions, or just can't wait to soak up the history of art, then why not check out the FREE guided public tours that all start from the East Lobby. You can learn about the collections and exhibits on one day, then explore one collection in depth with a curator another day!
The Baltimore Museum of Art is also great for families, because throughout the year they host specific events just for YOU! From hands-on workshops, to special gallery tours, and they also encourage fun ways for kids to enjoy the exhibits, such as describing the art to family members, or imagining what stories the art has behind it!

Does Baltimore Museum of Art have a gift shop?
The BMA shop is actually open on Tuesdays, with some days closing at 8pm. Here you can pick up educational items, gifts, and art related products to take home!
Free parking for one half hour for all visitors.

Each year, The Baltimore Museum of Art welcomes more than 25,000 students and teachers to its galleries, and proudly introduces its extensive collection and special exhibitions through school tours, educational programs, and workshops. Friendly, knowledgeable gallery teachers lead students on tours of discovery, helping them develop their visual and analytic skills through close observation and lively conversation.
