Bach to Rock Flower Mound Rock City Music Class

Rock City^® gives kids the chance to explore instruments at an early age. Our preschool music classes use the power of storytelling to teach musical concepts to kids 3-5 years old. At the same time, students get to explore instruments like the chimes and recorder!

In Rock City, kids can develop important skills for school, including early math and language skills. Our preschool music classes can also prepare students for future music lessons, including our piano lessons and instrument exploration classes for ages 5-7.

This program is open to preschoolers of all skill and experience levels. Rock City is perfect for young children who are starting their first music class. It’s also a great choice for preschoolers who have taken other music programs, like our Rock n Roll baby and toddler music classes. Class duration is 45 minutes.

At Bach to Rock®, we know that music, storytelling, and play are powerful teaching tools — especially when they’re used together! Our music classes for preschoolers combine these three elements to get kids excited about music.

Each Rock City class includes a musical concept, a musical instrument, and a storytime component. We teach musical concepts through the story and its themes. At the same time, we demonstrate how this concept works on the musical instrument.

This gives preschoolers a fun and easy way to build musical skills. Our classes teach concepts like fast and slow, loud and soft, and high and low. Meanwhile, students get early experience with instruments like the hand-drum and glockenspiel! Each class also includes take-home materials, so students can continue learning throughout the week.

Our preschool music classes help students build a strong foundation of musical skills. Through Rock City, students learn basic skills for reading music, playing basic arrangements, and understanding more complex musical concepts!
