About Atlanta Preservation Centre
The Atlanta Preservation Center is the agency for coordination, knowledge, research and advocacy for preservation in the city. Founded in 1980, we have worked tirelessly with government, business and community leaders to preserve more than 175 endangered residential and commercial structures, neighborhoods and landscapes. Our advocacy and education programs have made preservation come alive for thousands of area students, residents and visitors.

Teachers corner
Our Heritage Education Program teaches today's youth about Atlanta's richly historic districts with unique and interesting lessons. Programs offered include walking tours and interactive classroom presentations. Our programs are conducted in more than 150 public schools throughout metro Atlanta as well as many area private schools and summer youth groups. Thanks to funding from the Fulton County Commission under the guidance of the Fulton County Arts Council, scholarships are available to school
