Ark Encounter

Are you ready to experience Bible history at the very impressive life-size Noah's Ark? Yep, we're off to Kentucky's Ark Encounter, a fun theme park near Cincinnati where you can meet Noah and his family, as well as the animals on the Ark!

You want to know what else is exciting? Ark Encounter also features a zoo, zip lines, and a restaurant for those rumbling tummies. Of course it does!

Ark Encounter is three exhibits in one. You have the MASSIVE Ark structure itself, as well as the incredible craftsmanship, and then the beautifully fabricated teaching exhibits. 

It's the combination of all three of these that will amaze and inspire all families who visit, and make you think differently about the biblical account of Noah's Ark. 

The Ark itself is 510 ft long, 51 ft high and 85 ft wide. It actually stretches an American football field, one and a half times over. We told you that is was massive!

Ark Encounter is also the LARGEST timber-frame structure in the world. Yes, the world! IT's built from standing dead timber, and partly by skills Amish crafsmen.

Then, you have the zoo! Ararat Ridge Zoo is where the Ark can come to life, with animals from all over the world. Just imagine them walking up on the Ark two by two! There is also a petting zoo area too. Kids can even take a ride on a donkey or camel!

Finally, the zip lines! Soar down thousands of feet of zip lines that can reach up to 50 mph, and 17 stories in the air!

History, Bible learning, adventure, animals, Ark Encounter might have to be put to the top of your Family Day Out bucket list!
