About Animal Ark Wildlife Sanctuary

Spread across 38 acres in Reno, Nevada is Animal Ark Wildlife Sanctuary, a safe haven for injured, abandoned and otherwise non-releasable wildlife. And YOU can make it your next family day out destination!

Since 1981, Animal Ark has been looking after these beautiful animals, and offering families just like yours a unique opportunity to view these animals in their enclosures which mimic their natural habitats as much as possible.

Not only that, the animals at Animal Ark receive activities to ensure they don't get bored, and the meals are scattered to stimulate their gathering instincts.

In fact, during some special events that are open to the public, the animals are provided meals inside various toys that actually require thought and craftiness to open!

The staff at Animal Ark understand that animals belong in the wild, but these particular animals are unable to survive on their own, so they are not kept captive for breeding or selling purposes. It's all about the welfare of the animals, and it shows as you make your way around the enclosures!

We have mentioned animals, but what exactly will you see at Animal Ark? Well, there are plenty of big and small cats, from leopards, to cougars and bobcats.

There are beautiful owls, stunning cheetahs, wolves and even a bear!

What's also beautiful if that kids can learn the stories of all of the animals, giving them an invaluable educational experience at the same time!

Reno has just gone WILD, and it's wanting you to be part of it!
