About American Saddlebred Museum
We're in Lexington, Kentucky - home of the Kentucky Derby - so if there is any place to visit a museum dedicated to the American Saddlebred, this is the place to do it! The American Saddlebred Museum is the ultimate "Showplace for Saddlebreds", and is actually located on the grounds of the beautiful Kentucky Horse Park
The exhibits within the museum demonstrate the important role the American Saddlebred played on the nation's history, and how the breed has evolved into the athletic, elegant and versatile breed that we know and love today!
The museum actually holds the largest collection of Saddlebred artifacts in the entire WORLD, with trophies, photographs, tack and artwork all supporting your learning experience.
You can even see one of the most extensive collections of George Ford Morris Saddlebred artwork too!
Throughout the year the museum also host workshops and events (including a fun art contest!) so keep an eye out for these;
So saddle up kids, it's time to explore the world of the American Saddlebred, and spend your Lexington family day out just horsing around!
