About Amazement Square

Did you know that the award-winning Amazement Square is a super fun hands-on children's museum in historic downtown Lynchburg, and offers four floors of interactive exhibits designed to make learning fun for kids?

It's a place that knows play time is one of the most important ways that kids can learn and grow, so all of the exhibits within this museum help kids learn, discover, create and develop as they play.

Kids, you will be excited to know that this isn't a regular museum, it's a museum JUST for you, which means you can paint on the walls, explore life on a farm, and even create a rainstorm over downtown Lynchburg!

Did you ever want to float on a boat down the James River, or rock out on stage with a band of your very own? Just some of the things you can do at Amazement Square (are you amazed?)

There are nine permanent hands-on exhibits, as well as a changing gallery for temporary ones that explore regional and global topics, as well as science, health-related themes, arts and humanities.

The ultimate highlight of Amazement Square, however, is the HUGE indoor play structure that extends through all four floors of the museum, offering an endless maze of ladders, tunnels, slides, and even a zip line for kids to play in!

A truly fun day of play in Lynchburg at Amazement Square, and yes kids, you will be AMAZED at how much fun you can have!

Let's get ready to PLAY!
