About Alaska Raptor Center

Each year, the Alaska Raptor Center helps up to 200 bald eagles, as well as other beautiful birds - what a lovely thing to do! These birds come in injured, and the Alaska Raptor Center looks after them, and nurses them back to health.

If you love the sound of what they do, then you're in lucky, because they offer tours from May to September where you can learn about what they do, the birds that are in the center, and the environment that they are from.

It's a great time for kids to ask any questions they have ever had on these incredible birds of prey! You can also hear about how they might be released back into the wild too, and how they are able to cope with that after being in care for some time.

The Alaska Raptor Center isn't just for the bald eagles. They have in their care a range of other species including golden eagles, hawks, falcons and owls too.

What's also lovely when you visit this great center, is that all of your admission will go towards the upkeep and rescue of the birds, so it's all going to a great cause!

These birds are an important part of the Alaska ecosystem, so what better way to learn all about them than first hand - they ware waiting to say hello, so let's FLY!
