Adventures On The Gorge
About Adventures On The Gorge
Perched on the impressive New River Gorge, Adventures On The Gorge (fitting name!) has so many activities for those adventurous and active families!
The great thing about whitewater rafting, is it can be as challenging or as relaxing as you like. Kids as young as 6 can join in the fun for those most family friendly trips, and then kids over 12 can take on the more scaaaary sections of water! (Be brave!)
The New River and the Gauley River are popular places to raft, and there are a host of different tours you can pick from!
There are single day rafting tours on both the rivers, as well as multi-day tours. The multi-tour trips are especially cool because in the evenings you get to camp under the stars and on a beach - how cool is that!?
Kids over 6 can really enjoy the day trips with just the right amount of adventure, but there are still challenging tours for those who want it.
Want to keep your feet dry? Adventures On The Gorge also have incredibly treetop canopy tours featuring 10 fast paced zip lines and 5 sky bridges! You can tackle the obstacle course HIGH above the ground, or just enjoy the New River Gorge Bridge which gives you the views but without the challenges.
For those little climbers, rock climbing and rappelling are also available to try and conquer, or you can tear through the woods on your own ATV!
If that wasn’t enough, Adventures On The Gorge also have paddle-boarding and fishing - just some more of the activities you can enjoy. You might have to enjoy a Family Weekend Out at this rate!
Pack that suncream, and get ready for your incredibly family adventure!
