About ABQ BioPark Zoo

We LOVE a zoo, and ABQ BioPark Zoo is no different!

Part of the Albuquerque Biological Park, this zoo spans 64 acres which is home to over 250 species of animals - from the exotic to the native. Pretty impressive! Kids will love seeing all the weird and wonderful animals from across the world - can you guess what kinds of animals you'll see there?

Let us tell you!

From the often very loud sea lions, to the cheeky chimps, to the mighty gorillas and the mysterious polar bears....all of the animals can be found in state-of-the-art exhibits where the design is not only lovely to look at as a family visiting, but also great for the animals so you know they have naturalistic habitats with grasses, trees, rockwork and water features.

Did we tell you about the rhinos, zebras and jaguars that can be found there too? What about the koalas, tamatins and Mexican wolves? Excited yet?

The walking distance through the zoo is about 2.5 miles, so it's a lovely day to get out in the fresh air and spend some time enjoying some of the amazing animals we have on this planet.

ABQ BioPark Zoo has some fun events and activities to get the kids really interested in the animals - and a great way for them to learn all about them.

From feeding sessions where they can get up close to the animals and learn all about their dietary habits, to "meet and touch" sessions with animals like alpacas and llamas, as well as world animal encounter shows, there is so much to see and do for the family day out at ABQ BioPark Zoo!

So all animal lovers - we have for you a super animal-tastic experience just for you!
