About Yukon Beringia Interpretive Centre
Embark on a prehistoric journey into the past when woolly mammoths and scimitar cats used to roam Beringia at the Yukon Beringia Interpretive Centre. These large mammals of an age long ago are recalled in the First Nations legends of gigantic animals and the creation of the world from a flooded land.
The center offers interpretive information and guided tours with interactive multi-media presentations. Murals and dioramas depict the Beringia landscape, flora and fauna. The Centre also features a film, original works of art, and exhibits of discovered remains from throughout the Yukon.
There are lots of exhibits to explore and discover. There is the beringia, the ice-age animals, the first people and the artists behind beringia, so there's lots to see! The centre provides a window into Yukon's ice age past and their dedicated to the presentation and preservation of the first nationas history and area.
There's lots of programs for schools and tours. If you're lookng for an educational activity then there's the guided school fieldtrips, or there lots guided tours available daily for the public too. Dont forget to check the website before you visit as there are lots of events and activities going on throughout the year too!
