About Yamnuska Rock Climbing Adventures

It's SO much fun to explore the great outdoors, and when you're in a place like the Canadian Rockies - it seems a shame not to be out there every day! For active kids who love a bit of advenure, as well as nature, then why not spend the day with Yamnuska for some rock climbing adventures?

Yamnuska Mountain Adventures actually offer a host of activities, from mountaineering, to skiing, and even ice climbing, but it's the rock climbing that is most suitable for kids as young as 5 years, and a great introduction to them exploring the great Canadian wilderness.

There are a number of rock climbing courses that you can do with Yamnuska Mountain Adventures, and it's the Beginner Experiential Rock Climbing that is a fun day for the youngest of kids. It's fun, and relaxed, and actually designed for beginners who have never climbed before. Kids can learn the basic safety skills needed, as well as top rope techniques. They will be in good hands too with expert climbers there to coach them!

You can try out a full day or a half day, and perfect for families! Kids will improve their coordination, strength, and confidence!

If you have older kids in the family who want to really push themselves, then you can check out the various "Level" classes depending on their experience, or even a climbing tour.

If you do want to try and push yourself, and have older kids in the family, check out the other activivties that Yamnuska Mountain Adventures offer too - it's a big, big world out there!
