All aboard! We're off to enjoy some history and with plenty of fun at the Vancouver Maritime Museum!
In fact, for over 60 years, the popular Vancouver Maritime Museum has been sharing stories about the fascinating Pacific Northwest and the Arctic, as well as creating experiences that build bridges between the past and future. A great learning experience for kids and the family!
From a unique waterfront location in Vancouver, the Vancouver Maritime Museum love visitors to explore their amazing exhibitions and take part in programs about life on and around the Pacific Northwest and Arctic oceans.
In fact, their most popular exhibition is the RCMP Vessel St. Roch, which is a National Historic Site housed in an iconic mid-century modern A-frame shelter.! How amazing is that!
Kids can really enjoy a hands-on time too! At the St. Roch Wheelhouse they can Experience what it was like behind the wheel of the St. Roch in the early 20th century.
At the St. Roch National Historic Site they can even climb aboard the St. Roch and explore the decks and cabins!
The whole family can learn about centuries-long searches for that famous route through the Canadian Arctic, and what are the toughest and hardest working vessels in the harbour? Find out at the Vancouver Maritime Museum!
Most of the exhibitions at the museum are permanent, but some do rotate so there will be something for you to go back to.
History, family fun, plenty of educational experiences and so much to discover - all at the Vancouver Maritime Museum!

The Vancouver Maritime Museum is now cashless. They accept credit and debit card payment only.
Teachers corner
It's an amazing learning experience! Visit the museum on your own or add a museum visit to one of their guided school programs. There is a lot to discover! Worksheets are available to support and enhance your self-directed exploration. They offer programs for preschool to 12.
Class museum visits can be scheduled any time but must be booked at least one week in advance to receive the discounted rate of $5.25 per student. Class visits also have a 15 student minimum to receive the discounted rate.
