About Tofino Botanical Gardens
Tofino Botanical Gardens are twelve acres of gardens, forest, and shoreline that explore the relationship between culture and nature. There's lots of paths and boardwalks that will take you throughout the gardens and then lead you into lots of pocket gardens to discover too.
Some gardens display plants that once thrived in the coastal temperate rainforests around the world, and others celebrate the various cultural groups from home now and in the past. Visitors will learn more about the natural and cultural history of the world.
The paths will take you from the visitor centre past kitchen gardens, the frog pond and even a special children's garden that will lead you into the hub of the forest. The gardens are just one mile from the village of Tofino and their shorelines looks onto more than 5,000 aces of protected wildlife habitat, including the most important migratory shorebird area! So there's lots of wildlife to see and discover on your trip too.
The gardens is your outdoor classroom, where you can sit back and relax within nature, whilst exploring the history of the local area and fishing families.
