The Alberta Birds Of Prey Center
About The Alberta Birds Of Prey Center
The Alberta Birds of Prey Centre is Canada's largest birds of prey facility. Situated on a 70-acre wetland area site, our centre is a celebration of nature featuring hawks, falcons, eagles and owls of Alberta. The centre brings you both the beauty of the birds, whilst protecting the diverse species that call this place their home.
The centre educates the community on the native birds of prey, with lots of hands-on experience for people of all ages. The Hawk Walk is where you'll find the eagles and hawks! They're rare to see in the wild, so if you are an avid bird watcher you'll enjoy this experience. They may even let you hold one. There are lots of outdoor enclosures too where you'll get to meet some of the smaller birds.
The outdoor auditorium is where you watch the demonstrations and watch as the birds soar through the air and back down to pick up their meals! There's also lots of regular bird feedings, demenstrations and duck feeding to do here too. You'll also find a natural history building to learn more about the animals and how you support both the centre and the birds of prey to live long and happy lives here.
