About Struts Gallery
Struts Gallery, established in 1982, is an artist-run centre dedicated to presenting local, regional and national contemporary artist initiated activities: expositions, performances, symposia, publications, demonstrations, workshops, residencies, etc.
The gallery supports artists through artist directed and artists initiated activities. The staff consists of three practicing artists and supplemented with a number of key community members from the area. It's the only media arts centre in Atlantic Canada that supports of forms of media art including audio, film, video and new media.
Open Studio is a series of five-week artist residencies and all artists are encouraged to engage with the community through talks, workshops and other events. The media centre facilitates all forms of media arts and offers visitors access to the extensive holdings of professional equipmenting ranging from digital to vintage analogue. They offer mentorship, one to one training workshops led by professional artists and a series of equipment and tech tip tutorials that are available to stream on YouTube.
Amongst these, there are lots of other programs. Including A Handmade Assembly where artists are brought together to discuss handmade, timeshare mentorship, ease on down the road which support emerging artist and start gallery which is a space designed to Mount Allison Fine Arts students.

Our main door on Lorne Street is located on the first floor, with a ramp leading to the entrance with a small lip.
